Visit York Minister
More than just a cathedral, York Minster is a beautiful Gothic church founded by the Anglo-Saxons.
You can still go to the Undercroft, the 7th-century section of the Minster and see the difference in the architecture compared to the Gothic features of the main cathedral, which was built much later. For more information about the cathedral, you can take a guided tour to make the most of your York city break.
Explore how the Vikings lived – Jordvik Centre
The Jorvik Centre is a must-see during your York city break on a P&O Ferries mini-cruise. It offers a unique way to explore and understand the role of the Vikings in this city.
We do warn you if you want to visit this attraction because the authentic smell has been preserved. Just like a ride in an amusement park, all you have to do is sit back and listen as you go through the museum and the stories are told.
Book your York minicruise direct with P&O Ferries for the best York short breaks deals!
