European Highlander

The little sister to European Causeway, the European Highlander has worked our Cairnryan to Larne route since 2002.

What the European Highlander lacks in age, she makes up for in size and speed. She is 6m longer than the Causeway and sails a top speed of 23 knots – making her one of the fastest ferries on the Irish Sea.

We recently asked passengers what they wanted from our Irish Sea ships. As a result, £20m has been invested, with the European Highlander getting a makeover in 2013.

The ship now features more comfortable seating areas, refurbished restaurants, a new menu and an all-new Club Lounge for those who want a little extra luxury on board.

With up to seven sailings a day, there’s also an improved timetable, so even more people can enjoy sailing the Irish Sea on our ferries.
